There has never been an easier way to know when water softeners need salt until now! Salt Sensor is an accurate and convenient way to notify owners of water softeners when salt is low or out. Some softeners on the market ask the user to input the amount of salt put into the tank and if done improperly or if the salt is put in unevenly those units can alarm late, early, or not at all. Most tanks are put in closets, garages or basements and most are out of sight, out of mind. Owners realize they are out of salt only when their laundry doesn’t come out clean or their hair doesn’t feel right because the water has gone hard.
Salt Sensor features patented technology (US Patents #7,030,768 and #7,369,055) consisting of a sensor transmitter unit and a remote receiver unit. The transmitter measures for the presence of salt in a water softener brine tank. The transmitter attaches to the side of any brine tank. The receiver is a remote unit that can be placed up to 150 feet away from the transmitter unit.
